lone lily

there it was. i came out of the garage and out of the corner of my eye in the glare of sunlight, saw a splash of color. could it be? not a chance, i thought. but i looked again and sure enough...

a lone tiger lily sprouting up from the weeds.

this after the bush had been chopped down due to all the overgrown hot mess prevented me from being able to get into the garage. additionally, there has been virtually no rain so the ground is more than dry. how did it grow? who knew the lily was so hardy? gotta love it...standing strong!
